It looks to me that the UK have sacrificed our UK fishing fleet for access to e-Gates at airports in a 'breakthrough' deal with the EU. I'm sure Mr Starmer would disagree, but the UK's fishermen are not going ot be happy at all. We have given the EU another 12 years of access to UK fishing waters which was due to expire in 2026. The fisherfolk would have been looking forward to the 2026 date, a bit like looking forward to the mortgage getting paid off, then someone sticks another 12 years of payments onto the end of it. As someone with 2yrs 4 months left on my mortgage, I would not be impressed.
Did a 7 mile run on Saturday, 1st one in about 2 weeks, and 6 days after returning from Spain and I have really felt the aches since. Hopefully do a bit more this week, and I intend to enter the Lincoln half marathon in October so need to feel a bit better when I get my notional cheque book out.
