I got a bit wet today. I wondered if my lunchtime stroll round the block would get damp, but went anyway thinking I would be able retrace my steps or quickly finish if the rain began. As luck would have it, it started almost exactly halfway round so I stepped up a gear and finished with a short jog as it came down even harder. I should have know better really, but what the heck, it's only water.
Burghley week this week, which in theory means I can do what I want to do rather than taking someone else into account. However, as is often the case I end up with less time to myself. A visit to my mother's after work yesterday ate up all my evening, physio at 6 this evening will mean arriving home around 7:30 and with the nights drawing in there will be next to no daylight hours left. Saturday I have arranged to watch some motorbike racing at Donington Park with my son-in-law and then half of Sunday will be spent dismantling and collecting the caravan from Burghley. The Donington Park trip is a bit of a treat so I shouldn't complain really.
