July 2024 will be 5 years since my last iron distance triathlon, so I made the rather rash decision yesterday to enter the Nottingham Outlaw again and booked the campsite. Bit of a risk, I know but nothing ventured etc. etc. There's also a bit of the 'you're not getting any younger' thinking to this so I need to do it whilst I can. Besides, how difficult can it be at age 65?
In the meantime, training continues for the October marathon in York. The longest run so far is 15.5 miles, so I need to be doing a bit longer really before the big day, which is 5 weeks away. I feel reasonably confident that I'll manage this OK, one of the reasons I went for Outlaw.
